About Us

WHO ARE WE?

Based in Ireland
Stride racing is an Irish company set up by former professional rugby player Johne Murphy.

Established & Respected
Stride (Formerly TBRS) have been running Syndicates in Ireland Since 2015. Johne is a 3rd generation racehorse owner and has been involved in racing his whole life.

Backed by Professionals
At Stride we only work with the best professionals in the industry. We have horses in training with Joseph O’Brien for 5 years.

Better communication with syndicates
Through the Stride App, syndicate members will get to see much of the journey their horses go on, receiving video, audio & picture updates from the yard, as well as training & race planning updates from their trainer.

WHAT WE DO

Our Model
At Stride we believe in spreading risk for our members in syndicates with multiple horses. This reduces the risk and give members an opportunity to have numerous runners throughout the season. In 2021 we provided our owners with a first-class experience by purchasing high-end bloodstock and providing access to world-class Irish trainer Joseph O'Brien. With gross sales of over 800 thousand euro and a profit per share of nearly 30% for some owners, it was a great year!
When you buy a share, you will own part of the horse and you will join him or her on a fascinating and interesting journey. Our level of communication is one of the best in the syndicate industry, with regular updates and video production. We will give owners the opportunity to see behind the scenes with regular updates giving you, the owner, a chance to watch your horse(s) develop throughout their journey. At Stride we can promise that you will be very much in the heart of the racing community, enjoying visits to see your horse, days at the races and various other social events throughout the year. We want to maximise the enjoyment and thrill of racehorse ownership for you and help you to live the dream.

"One of the main advantages of the syndicate model is the ability to spread risk among elite horses and the ability to have people who can really get more enjoyment together than individually"

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO OWN A RACEHORSE WITH STRIDE?

What is the minimum investment?

It depends on the syndicate opportunities available, so we don’t have a fixed minimum amount. Typically, a 5% investment in one syndicate ranges from €5,000 to €50,000.

Are there additional costs after the original investment?

No, the fee is a flat, one-off cost for the term.

This includes the following:
  • Purchase price of the racehorses
  • Trainer Fees
  • Veterinarian Fees
  • Transport Costs
  • Entry Fees
  • Any additional ongoing costs

When will we receive distributions from race winnings?

Proceeds from prize money will be disributed pro rata at the end of the season when accounts are finalised.
Stride do not take a percentage of winnings, 100% is distributed to members.

What happens to my investment at the end of the partnership?

As horses from the syndicate are sold you will receive your pro rata share of sales proceeds immediately on the close of the sale.
